Osun State Former House Of Assembly Members From Osun West Senatorial District Released A Communique On Pressing Matters

BEING THE COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE FORUM OF OSUN STATE FORMER HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY MEMBERS FROM OSUN WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT HELD ON 9TH OF JANUARY, 2025 AT THE STATE CAPITAL, OSOGBO.

Gentlemen of the Press,

PREAMBLE; The well-attended meeting that centered on equity, justice and fairness resolved as follows:

1) That we are solidly behind the leader of our party "APC", H.E Gboyega Oyetola and also pledging our unalloyed support to him.

2) That our loyalty towards the party is absolute.

3) That equity and fairness should come to play in 2026 governorship race in Osun State where every district has a sense of belonging.

4) That we earnestly ask for the governorship ticket to be zoned to West Senatorial District who has never got the ticket in the Progressive Party since 1999 unlike the two other Senatorial Districts

(5) That our agitation/request in item 4 is subject to the decision of our leader H. E Gboyega Oyetola who has the right of first refusal to the APC ticket.

6) That party activities should commence immediately from polling units to the state level to send the ruling party in the state (PDP) out of power by 2026.

7)That we appreciate the efforts of Mr. President , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Fiscal Reforms, economic resurgence and Social Welfare among others.
