Physics and Electronics Students, AAUA sets the pace, builds and adopts their first ever e-voting System.
Today, 26th of January 2024, the Physics and Electronics Students’ Association (PESA) set a pace and raised the bar in the Faculty of Science, as the Department eschewed the obsolete, stressful, and less credible routine of paper and pencil mode of election, to adopt the first ever self-owned electronic voting (e-voting) in the history of the 6 department and Faculty as a whole.
The e-voting system method adopted by the Department is as the result of the inevitable need to change as the world Itself is evolving, and also to give the democracy the ultimate beauty it deserves which is the ability to elect a representative freely and credibly. The said electronic voting adopted displayed the result of election in real-time, hence made it credible and fair.
Meanwhile, It is imperative to acknowledge the relentless effort of one Mr. Muhammad Abdulazeez (Chairman, Electoral Committee), a graduating student of the Department) and his team who created a secure server (coding, UI/UX of the server) to ensure that we achieve this feat and rigorously worked for the success of the election.
We sincerely hope that as Physics Students, the Department will keep engaging in a technological exercise that will keep promoting the name of the department in Nigeria and throughout the world.
