Odun Amuye Festival- Dr Bayo Faforiji
Amuye Faforiji is a town in the southwestern part of Nigeria, just a few miles away from Ilesha and very close to Garage Olode in Ife South LG. The town was founded in 1905 by a prince of the Owa Aponlese ruling house of Ilesa by name Adesanmi Faforiji. He was the Likure of Erinburo from 1921 till he passed on in 1934.
Odun Amuye is an annual ceremony designed to pray and appease the Almighty God for the progress and advancement of the Faforiji Community. This year, the festival is scheduled for Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of this month, November. As usual, general prayers will be offered for the progress of Faforiji community.
