Lassa Fever : Death Toll Rises To 20 In Ondo State

According to The punch media, it had been confirmed that The Ondo State Government has confirmed that

no fewer than 20 people have lost their lives to

Lassa fever in the state .

A total of 112 cases of the disease were said to

have been recorded in the state so far .

The cases were said to have been recorded in

five Local Government Areas of the state .

Those affected include Akoko South - West , Ose ,

Owo, Akure South and Ondo West Local

Government Areas while the victims were

transferred to the Federal Medical Center, Owo

and a treatment center in Akure .

Earlier , the state government revealed that it had

recorded 16 deaths as a result of the disease

while 100 cases were recorded.
