Barcelona superstar footballer Lionel Messi on
Monday, November 12, received an award
as Spanish La Liga Most Valuable Player for
the 2017/18 season.
The Argentine football star was also given
an award for the 34 goals he scored last
season for Barcelona which helped them to
win the Spanish La Liga title.
Messi received the award from MARCA
director Juan Ignacio Gallardo for his status
as top scorer last season in Spain.
"It's good that the League is more
competitive than ever, nothing is easy,
anyone can beat anyone and I hope it
continues like that for some time.
"I am always more interested in the
importance that goals have rather than how
good they look,'' Lionel Messi stated.
#Messi on his return following
an arm fracture: "At first I was a bit
scared of contact and getting hit by the
ball. But after some time I started
feeling more and more comfortable. I
was looking forward to getting back out
on the pitch"
Lionel Messi has been very impressive again this
season for Barcelona in all competitions as
the Catalans stays on top the La Liga
standings with 24 points after 12 games
played so far.
