The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in
Lagos state Nigeria has declared Jide Sanwo-Olu
as the winner of the primary election and
governorship candidate of the party for
2019 winning his opposing rival,Akinwunmi Ambode who is the governor of Lagos state but unfortunately he cannot be re-elected for second tenure after the primary loss.
Tunde Balogun who is the chairman of the
party in Lagos announced the result on
Tuesday, October 2 at the party secretariat,also on their twitter handles.
According to him, Sanwo-Olu polled
970,851 votes to defeat Governor
Akinwunmi Ambode who reportedly had
72,901 votes.
