Police arrests Muslim cleric in Lagos for human parts possession

A Muslim cleric, Alfa Kayode Abdul-Fatai,
has been arrested by police in Lagos
state for being in possession of human
body parts and organs.
The Punch reports that the cleric was
arrested on Tuesday, January 16 at No. 4,
Okedumola Street, Off Obadare area of
Alakuko.
He was found with female heart and a
female lap discovered in his room.

Chike Oti who is the spokesperson of the
Lagos state police command confirmed
the arrest of the cleric.
In his confession, the cleric said the body
parts and organs were given to him by
an accomplice.
The police said the cleric was arrested
following a tip-off from a citizen.
He said the commissioner of police,
Edgal Imohimi, has particularly urged
Lagosians to be security conscious and
know their neighbours.
”The CP urges members of the public to
embark on ‘Operation Know Your
Neighbour’ because the Alfa was staying
in a compound without his neighbours
knowing what he does for a living.”
The said the cleric and accomplice who
has also been arrested will be charged to
