The Nigerian army has recorded
tremendous success in its fight against
the Boko Haram insurgency.
According to a fresh report from army's
spokesperson, SK Usman, the troops on
Operation Lafiya Dole on the night of
Friday, January 5, attacked a Boko
Haram hideout.

The gallant troops dealt decisive blow on
the Boko Haram terrorists by inflicting
heavy casualty on them and capturing
the following high calibre weapons and
equipment from the Boko Haram
terrorists in Sambisa forest.

These ammunition were recovered by the
Nigerian troops on Operation Lafiya Dole
in the ongoing Operation DEEP PUNCH II.

A factional leader of the Boko Haram
sect, Mamman Nur, has been fatally
injured during an operation by the
Nigerian army.
Nur is a member of the sect faction that
separated from the popular Boko Haram
leader, Abubakar Shekau.
According to a press released signed by
the spokesman of the Operation Dole
counterinsurgency force in northeast
Nigeria, Onyema Nwachukwu, Nur was
injured when the army attacked his base
