Breaking: Bode George withdraws from PDP chairmanship race

Chief Olabode George, one of the
chairmanship aspirants of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), has announced
his withdrawal from the race, The Cable
reports.
it was gathered that George who
announced his decision to step down at a
press conference in Abuja said he did not
withdraw for any candidate.
The former Deputy National Chairman of
the PDP on Friday, December 8, said he
was withdrawing from the race on a
matter of principle
He said it was wrong for the party not to
have micro-zone the office of the
national chairman.
This leaves only eight aspirants to
compete at the Eagle Square, Abuja,
which is the venue of the convention, on
Saturday, December 9.
The remaining aspirants are Uche
Secondus, Tunde Adeniran, Taoheed
Adedoja, Raymond Dokpesi, Rashidi
Ladoja, Gbenga Daniel, Jimi Agbaje and
Aderemi Olusegun.
