– It was gathered that the gunmen had
trailed the late driver who was said to be
carrying a large amount of money which
he withdrew from one of the new
generation banks in Warri
A robbery attack on Thursday, August 4, at
the Delta state government house has left
one dead and many others in total shock.
According to a report on The Punch,
suspected armed robbers stormed the
Delta state government house Annexe,
Warri, when members of the Delta State
Waterways Security Committee were
holding a meeting, killing a driver attached
to the Annex.
The incident which occurred at about
11am, caused chaos in the area as
security agents attached to the Annex
scampered for safety amid gunshots.

The chairman of the committee, Boro
Opodu, and his members also fled for
safety during the incident.
It was gathered that the gunmen had
trailed the late driver who was said to be
carrying a large amount of money meant
for the officials of the Waterways
Committee, when they opened fire at the
vehicle as it made its way into the Annex.
